Primary One
Join us in 2022 for the first ever Primary One course offered by Kodály QLD. Complete the first step towards receiving your accredited Australian Kodály Certificate and gain the skills and knowledge to deliver a sequential, developmental, and aural-based music curriculum.
There will be:
17 Monday evening zoom classes (2 hours each)
2 in-person study weekends in Mackay
The study weekends will be 5/6 March and 20/21 August.
Classes will be held during term 1/2/3. First class on 7 February.
Students are able to enrol for assessment or for audit.
Certificate provided at completion, showing 60 hours of professional development.
Peer education is an important part of the training, and the course is delivered by experienced and accredited lecturers who are working teachers and experts in their specific field of Kodály study.
Lecturers:
Tess Laird is the Methods lecturer.
Anthony Young is the Conducting lecturer.
Jennifer Teh is the Musicianship and Choir lecturer.
The course will have:
15 hours of Musicianship (at your chosen level)
15 hours of Methods
10 hours of Choir
10 hours of Conducting
5 hours of Practicum
5 hours of Materials
