Jason Boron is a Lecturer in Music Education and the First-Year Coordinator of the Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Edith Cowan University. His teaching draws upon more than 15 years of experience working with children and adults in primary, secondary, and tertiary contexts.
Jason is the President of Kodály Australia and a past Chairperson of the Australian Society for Music Education Western Australian Chapter. He is an accredited lecturer of the Australian Kodály Certificate. Currently, he facilitates the delivery of the Musical Foundations professional development package offered as part of the Music Education Strategy for the Department for Education in South Australia. Jason is also a member of the ECU Education Committee.
Jason is a past recipient of the Sarolta Kodály Scholarship, awarded by the International Kodály Society and in 2020 was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award for Innovative Teaching. Jason regularly works with children through the West Australian Young Voices (WAYV).
